We will continue to improve access to council services for residents based on the principle that there is ‘no wrong front door’. This will mean simple and efficient access to council advice and support, both online and face-to-face through new hubs in our town centres, our libraries, leisure centres and other accessible community settings.
We will integrate our services so when residents access support, they don’t need to repeat the issues they face to multiple people, multiple times.
We will develop a new process in the council to ensure all statutory communications are written in plain English. Any reference to legislation will be explained in full and all jargon will be removed.
We will improve and promote the Cheshire West Live Well website so that residents can access clear and concise information about all the services available in their area.
We will reform the way the council consults with residents and other stakeholders, so that any big decisions are co-produced and local people have a real stake in the future of the services they rely on.
